Aaron Marshall Jr, son of Aaron Marshall Sr and Sarah Snowden is buried here. His wife was Margaret Bowers who was the daughter of Absalom Bowers and mother unknown. The Spiveys are Lewis Spivey, son of John Spivey and Besheba (unknown last name). Lewis's wife (also buried here) is Jane Ashley (unknown parents). I know of two other Spiverys who are buried here but can't find my papers. There are no headstones for the other two Spiveys. I know that this location is the old Spivey farm. However, Aaron Marshall Jr. wrote in his will that he wanted ¼ acre of his land around the private burial ground reserved for his burial. So I would have to assume that there are other people buried in this private cemetery. I would also have to assume that this land originally belonged to Aaron . I did see another old map and this area was once referred to White Oak also. Have you ever heard of a White Oak Cemetery as this is supposed to be where Aaron Marshall Sr is buried. I do have a copy of a speech by James G. Marshall dated 04 Sep 1884 in which he stated that Aaron Sr. is buried in the White Oak Cemetery. There was also supposed to be a Baptist Church on the north branch of Kings Creek where some people are supposed to be buried also. He then goes on to say that Aaron Marshall "lies buried in the Old White Oak graveyard near Fairview and any marks of his resting place has long been obliterated." Have you ever heard of the Old White Oak Cemetery. I thought that maybe this was the name of the Cemetery where Aaron Jr & Margaret Marshall are buried.
