This Ellis Cemetery #1 (named #1 using the description on GenWeb Barren county page) is located south of Glasgow in the Bruce Section. Drive south about 5 1/2 miles on highway 31E. Turn left on Ellis Bend Road which is the last road before the bridge over Skaggs Creek. Proceed .6 miles to near the end of the paved portion of the road and turn left toward several barns. Cemetery is 400 feet east behind the last big barn (which was painted black in 2000). It is on a hill overlooking Barren River Lake. The cemetery was overgrown in the year 2000.

This cemetery is thought to have been named Pleasant Hill Cemetery early on since it is located near Pleasant Hill, Barren County, Kentucky.
