The Church was deconsecrated then converted to residential use in 1994. An archaeological survey prior to the conversion revealed a number of unidentifiable human remains and burials within the walls of the Church. Most of the latter seemed to date from around the 18th C. There had been significant disturbance to these burials, presumed to have occurred at the time of the 1819 Church construction.
At its north end, the graveyard contains the 17thC Rothes and 19thC Douglas family burial vaults. These are normally closed and inaccessible to the public. There is a memorial stone to Norman Evelyn Leslie, 19th Earl of Rothes, who died in 1927, set into the external east wall of the Rothes Vault. This vault also encloses part of the aisle of the medieval church. The two stained glass windows previously set into the south wall of the church, being memorials to Henrietta, 17th Countess of Rothes, have been moved to the modern Christ's Kirk on the Green in Glenrothes.
The graveyard is overgrown in places and some of the gravestones are in serious disrepair. Those with remaining legible inscriptions date from the 17th C. The last recorded burial was in the 1930's. Thereafter, all burials took place at LeslieCemetery on the west side of the town.
