Cobb's Hill Cemetery is located in Elmore County, Alabama. Just off Cobb's Ford Road next to Fantail Restaurant in 2.8 acres of woods. This acreage has sunken graves all over, could be about 200 graves with only a few markers. Cobb family bought several hundreds of acres in 1880's. African American families of Cobb's Ford and the surrounding area used this cemetery for burying their families, located across Cobb's Ford Road was Cobb Hill Church. Early 1970's the Cobb family sold the land for development but held on to this cemetery. Lot of work and years have gone into finding just these families that are buried in Cobb's Hill Cemetery. It is a sacred ground for these families and friends that lived at Cobb's Ford and the surrounding area. This cemetery should be respected as such with Find-a-grave.
