Samuel F. Principi of Palm Bay, Florida passed away on Wednesday November 26, 2008, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 10, 1929, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the youngest son of the late Samuel (Saverio) J. Principi, and Jennie Siracusa Principi. He grew up in Bridgeport, Connecticut and enlisted in the army as a young man. After his service in the army, he worked at Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation in Bridgeport. He married Julia R. Cavicchia in 1956. They had twins a year later, Mark & Beth, then in 1960 they welcomed another daughter, Jeneane. Sam moved his family to Cocoa, FL in 1962 when he took a job with RCA at the Kennedy Space Center. He bought several acres of land on Merritt Island, which he subdivided, developed and sold as residential building lots on Sunset Ln. In 1974 Sam built a new home and moved his family to Merritt Island on Sunset Ln. In the 1970's Sam bought King Mower in Melbourne Florida and later moved the family to Melbourne. In the 1980's he started the first mobile mower repair service in south Brevard County, AAA Mobile Mower Repair. He was very skilled mechanically and could fix just about anything. He will be dearly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, and many friends. He enjoyed spending time with his family, bowling with his wife on a bowling league, fishing and traveling. He and his wife, Julia especially enjoyed going on cruises.
