Charles F. Rupp
Charles Frederick RUPP, 68, who resided on the north shore of Lake Manitou, died at 7:30 a.m. today at his home following a two-month illness from carcinoma.
Born Feb. 5, 1893, in Topeka, Kan., he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris RUPP and was married in 1918 at Topeka to Mary FUGATE, who survives. He had lived in this community 20 years, moving here from Topeka. Mr. Rupp was a former employee at Kingsbury Ordinance plant and at Studebaker auto plant.
His other survivors, besides the wife, ate the mother, Mrs. Elizabeth RUPP, Topeka, Kan.; one son, James F. RUPP, Rochester; one daughter, Mrs. Elsie JONES, South Carolina; one stepson, Paul E. WHITLOW, Topeka; three sisters, Miss Teresa RUPP, Mrs. Edith HIGGINS and Mrs. Louise THOMPSON, all of Topeka; one brother, William RUPP, Kansas City, Mo.
Funeral rites will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with the Rev. James RHOADS officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after Thursday noon.
