Lola Genevieve (Wyatt) Lynde, 91, of Windsor, Missouri, died Saturday, March 3, 2012, at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton, Mo.

Lola was born September 30, 1920, in Post Oak, (Johnson County) Mo., the daughter of Lester and Mary Ann (Reynolds) Wyatt. She graduated high school from Leeton, Mo., in 1938 and married Merle Lynde on March 31, 1940, in Kansas City, Mo. She lived in the Windsor area and was a member of the High Point Baptist Church, where she served as song leader and Sunday School teacher for many years. She loved bowling, reading, and making quilts for her family. Lola was a devoted and loving wife, working with her husband on the family farm for many years. As a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, her love and dedication was unfailing and she will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years on July 28, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents, twin sister Lura Marie Wyatt, and 2 sisters Fern Gilleland and Doris Crenshaw. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Clyde and Karen Lynde, Windsor, Mo.; a daughter Ruth Roberts and her friend Gene Hiestand, Warrensburg, Mo.; a granddaughter, Tonja Lynde-Kernell and her husband Jim Kernell; 2 grandsons, Curt Roberts and his fiancé Ora Reynolds and Todd Lynde and his wife Melanie; 6 great-grandchildren, Tate, Wyatt, Quinn, and Lola Marie Kernell, and Tymon and Camryn Lynde; a brother Owen Wyatt, Warrensburg, Mo.; 2 sisters-in-law, Opal Dohrman, LaMonte, Mo., and Elsie Mohler, Kansas City, Mo.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Rev. Clif Dudley officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Mineral Creek Cemetery, Leeton, Mo. The family suggests contribution to the High Point Baptist Church or the Down Syndrome Guild of Kansas City and may be left in care of the funeral home.
