subject Find A Grave Correction: Katharina Simon

Hi,

I thought you might be interested to know that Terry G. Jordan includes a photo of the Katharina Simon marker in his book, Texas Graveyards: A Cultural Legacy, University of Texas Press, Austin, 1982, p. 105. The photo caption provides this information:

"The epitaph, on a porcelain disk, reads 'Hier ruht / Katharina Simon / geb. zu Mitzai Elsass / den 12. Okt. 1818 / gest. zu Anhalt den 1. marz 1907' ['Here rests / Katharina Simon / born at Mitzai, Alsace / October 12, 1818 / died at Anhalt March 1, 1907']."
