Also known as Fürther Stadtfriedhof
This is the non-denominational community cemetery of the Bavarian town of Fürth, just north or Nürnberg. It was opened in 1881 and has a size of about 25 hectare (61.7 acres). The cemetery administration also manages the two in Vach and Stadeln.
Other Burial Grounds in Fürth are:
Städtischer Friedhof Fürth
Neuer Jüdischer Friedhof Fürth
Alter Jüdischer Friedhof Fürth
Friedhof Burgfarrnbach (St. Johannis)
Friedhof Fürth-Stadeln
Friedhof Fürth-Vach
Please note that the graves in Germany are not perpetual. After a certain period of repose (in Fürth only 15 years) the graves are being leveled and re-used. There is no toxic embalming being done in Germany, so the coffin and the corpse have decomposed naturally. If the family of the deceased decides to purchase another period the duration can be extended by another 10 years. War Graves are considered memorials and are kept up by the owner of the cemetery. Those are kept forever.
