OLD SOUTH CREEK CHURCH CEMETERY

The South Creek Church was disbanded many years ago and very little is known about the church, although there are a few of the church records covering the latter years of its operations still in existence. The church was apparently located on what is known today as the Fire Tower Road in the Golded Valley area of Rutherford County. The remains of the
old cemetery can be readily discerned and unmarked graves cover a large area of a hillside, possibly two acres in size, indicating that the church must have been in operation for a long time before its disbandment. Only three gravestones could be found with legible markings,but further digging in the graves might uncover more.
