|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
This was erected to commemorate Baron Bliss, one of the country's greatest benefactors. It was designed and funded by him and he is buried here, in a small, low mausoleum perched on the seawall, up a short run of limestone stairs. It stands at Fort George Point, the entrance to Belize City Harbour. It was established in 1885 but the present tower was built in 1926.
