Land for this cemetery was purchased in 1890 for $800. Less than an acre was added later for the entrance and an iron fence was built in 1910 and a vault in 1925. Posts made of Milford's granite were placed at the entrance. In 1960, when 11 local organizations joined together to honor their deceased veterans, they raised a flagpole near the entrance and each organization placed a granite marker in a semi-circle around the pole. There are many beautifully carved monuments produced by the Italian stone carvers who lived nearby.
Land was purchased in 1890 for $800, and an additional fifth of an acre later. A vault was added in 1925 and a chain link fence was built around the cemetery with posts of Milford granite at the entrance. Eleven town organizations erected a flagpole by the entrance in 1960 and placed markers with their names in a circle around the pole. This was their way of honoring deceased members who had served in the armed forces.
