The cemetery is divided into 4 sections. In the "historic" section C1 is the original old burying ground, and around it are the graves of the folks who built the town of Pearce and worked so hard to help it prosper and grow through the gold and silver mining boom of the 1890s through the 1920s. The earliest currently identified graves date back to the late 1890s. The earliest inscribed markers are for 1900. Burials in this area stopped in the 196o's, though lots are still available today for direct descendants of these old families.
In Section C2 (the "new" section) burials started in 1969. In this area are the folks who spearheaded a second boom time around Pearce as a destination retirement community built by Horizon Land Corporation. Horizon began sales of town lots in the late 1960's establishing a new area a few miles north of Pearce called Sunsites. They formally withdrew from Sunsites in 2004.
Sections C3 and C4 were set up around the year 2000, and are used for new burials.
