Built in the 1300's, designated as the new cathedral in 1918, 400 years after the dissolution of St Mary's Cathedral. It was bombed to devastation on 14 Nov 1940. The current Coventry Cathedral, also dedicated to St Michael, was built next this one.

BURIALS ARE BETWEEN 1300 AND 1940

In the process of restoration of St Michael's Church in 1850, the stones which covered the floor of the Chancel and Lady Chapel were mostly buried by being covered with soil some inches thick and others removed or used for baser purposes.
