This is the Bethlehem/Zion Lutheran cemetery located on County Road NN in Rib Mountain, Marathon County, Wisconsin. Not Rib Falls. It is located next to the (Reverend) E. H. Bertermann Memorial Chapel, which is now closed and boarded up.

Background:
Ernest Bertermann was born in Racine, WI on June 19, 1888, son of Henry & Caroline (Eickhorst) Bertermann. He attended St. John's Lutheran School and was confirmed there in 1902 by Pastor Otto Hanser. He attended Concordia College in Milwaukee from 1902 to 1908. Next, he enrolled at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis and graduated from there in 1912. During his time in St. Louis he served as vicar in the Rushmore-Gordon-Hay Springs parish in Western Nebraska.
Pastor Bertermann married Anna Kaiser of Racine on June 19, 1913 and they were blessed with three children. Ms. Bertermann passed away in 1928.
Accomplishments:
Pastor Bertermann was ordained into the ministry in Racine on June 26, 1912 by Pastor J.F. Boerger at St. John's Lutheran Church. He accepted his first call in the Camrose, Alberta, Canada parish. After three year at that parish, he accepted a call to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stevens Point, WI and served there for four years. On October 15, 1919, he was installed as pastor of Trinity church in Wausau and Bethlehem church in Rib Mountain, and served in that capacity until 1964, when he was named pastor emeritus. After his "retirement," he continued to conduct Sunday worship services and visited shut-ins in hospitals and homes.
Pastor Bertermann was a member of the board of directors of the North Wisconsin District for 25 years; was editor of the District's publications, "Der Bote" and "The Messenger; was vice-president of the District for another 25 years; was a counselor for the North Wisconsin District of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League; was chairman of the Lutheran World Relief.
Pastor Bertermann, at age 86, died on July 25, 1974 and is buried in Pine Grove Cemetery in Wausau, WI.
