An extensive survey of this cemetery was done in May 2013 by Dana Shew & Mark D. Selverston of the Anthropological Studies Center at Sonoma State University as part of an ongoing research project of the Saddleback Ranch. Until this survey, the cemetery was known only to a few Androus descendants. It was not recorded on any historic map and there were no official records in Yuba county.
The cemetery exists on a small triangular lot which was officially acquired by Henry Androus in 1881 from Joseph Brown and described as "All that portion and part of Section 36 in Township 17 North, Range 4 East, M.D.M.,lying East of a line running 10 feet East of the natural bank of a creek which runs diagonally through the NE corner of said Section, and containing seven acres, more or less." This small section of land was bordered by Henry Androus' property on the east, James E. Androus' property on the north, and by Charles M. Potts to the northeast.
The results of the survey indicated that there are 14 graves marked with natural stones none of which are engraved. Ground penetrating radar indicated that there may be additional graves. These may have been marked with wooden markers that have long since disappeared.
