This cemetery is located along an old abandon logging trail with the even older railroad grade belong to the Grand Rapids and Indiana G.R. & I. Railroad. I also sits next to the old Walton Marsh.
Established in or about 1873 during the Michigan logging boom. This cemetery is not visible from the roadway. It contains no markers, monuments or headstones. There are stones shaped in a circular fashion to outline the perimiter of the cemetery.
Impressions are still visible today where multiple unidentified souls are laid to rest. It has been suggested that many of the interned have been moved to another nearby cemetery but at this time we can't confirm or deny without further investgating. It appears that there is not a sexton for the property. It is possible that the Fife Lake Historical Society has erected the sign showing minimal restoration in 1985.
After the logging industry died in Michigan so did the boom town of Walton Junction.
