|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
New Hope Methodist Church was organized in 1850 and held its first meetings in the homes of its members. By the fall of 1851, the congregation was gathering in its own building. On October 18, 1851, Harley Baker deeded to Church trustees one ace which he identified as the parcel "on which the church of New Hope now stands." For 28 years New Hope Methodists convened at this location three-fourths miles from Between. On June 7, 1879, F. L. Black and John W. Black deeded a nearby two acres in Between to Church trustees and a new sanctuary was erected. In 1904 a third building was completed and with additions and remodeling, this sanctuary served until the present.
