The Wesleyan Chapel was built in 1844 fronting directly onto The Street. It has a massive though somewhat ungainly brick tower, and an impressive arched window and steps at the village side, and originally looked over fields at the other, though now the view is of the relatively new, busy A2 road. It became redundant in the 1960s, and after a period of increasing dilapidation, during which it was used for storage and then stood empty for a long period, it was converted into flats. Most of the former Burial Ground is now paved for car parking; a small area was laid out as a formal garden, with a few of the grave markers cleared to the two side walls, but the area is now used as dustbin storage.
