The church stands on the corner of Central Ave and Martin Luther King Dr. in Atlanta, GA. A Catholic church of the same name has stood here since before the Civil War. It was saved from burning by its pastor, Fr. Thomas O'Reilly, who saved several other important buildings in the area. When the present structure was built, he was buried in a special crypt incorprated into the new structure. His grave was re-discovered, along with that of his successor, and may be visited. The two coffins are visible beneath glass.
