There is no sign marking the existence of the cemetery nor any gate or fence, nor is it visible from the road. Access is gained by turning onto Notre Dame Lane leading into Glen Meadows Community. The Sisters are buried in chronological order, but the markers lie flat to the ground making it difficult to see. There are two circles in the cemetery, the Crucifixion Circle and the Blessed Mother Circle. Both contain the graves of Provincial Leaders and other Sisters, as well as a few chaplains. Behind the Crucifixion Circle (in the older section of the cemetery) is a large monument engraved with the names of Sisters who died in the 19th c. and whose remains were moved to Villa Maria from other cemeteries. There is one name on the monument of a Sister buried in Harrisburg, Penna., whose grave was lost -- Sister Maria Emmanuela Breitenbach. The rest are in the mass grave beneath the stone.
The Blessed Mother Circle is in the middle of the newer section of the cemetery.
It is an active cemetery with about a dozen burials in a given year. Blessed Mother Circle Crucifixion Circle
