Rev. Wm. Gillies wrote: "Assured that the Campbells of Glenorchy had obtained a firm foothold in Breadalbane ... Sir Colin erected a burial chapel at Finlarig 'to be ane burial for himself and his posteritie.' The present mausoleum of the Breadalbane family is on the site of Sir Colin's chapel." William A.
