Burial plots are designated by area/row/plot, eg N/4/9.
The churchyard is divided into 3 main areas:-
o N - Northern area, to the left of the main path as you walk up the churchyard from the main
road, and includes the rose garden for the interment of ashes.
o S - Southern area, to the right of the main path as you walk up the churchyard from the main
road, and includes the church.
o E - Eastern area at the top of the churchyard beside the church hall.
The rows of graves run north to south, parallel to the main road. They are number from the top path
which also runs north to south.
o In the Northern and Southern areas the row numbers increase as you move down towards
the main road.
o In the Eastern area they increase as you move up the hill towards the Rectory, which is the
house over the fence at the top of the churchyard.
In all area the plots within each row are numbered north to south.
Some landmark graves to help get your bearings:-
o E/1/1 - Large ALEXANDER family grave, by the iron gates leading to the church hall
o E/1/39 - WHILTSHIRE- the last grave in the first row of this area.
o N/1/1 - BLAKE- the first grave in the first row of the Northern area.
o N/11/12 - BULFORD - Last grave in row 11 beside the central path
o N/16/1 - FOLEY - The first grave in the 16th (last) row in the northerna area beside the rose
garden.
o S/2/1 - KERR - the first grave in the second row of the Southern area
o S/14/2 - SMITH - the first of the military graves from the conflict in Afghanistan.
o S/15/2 - AUGUSTIN - the second of the military graves from the conflict in Afghanistan.
