Don R. Hadlock, 95 of Cherokee, KS died at 4:15 am, Saturday, September 22, 2012 at his home.

He was born September 4, 1917 in Cherokee the son of Nova Scotia and Annie Ingram (Gore) Hadlock.

On January 11, 1947 he was united in marriage to Imohl Craig in Newton, KS, she survives him of the home.

He was a veteran of WWII joining the Army Air Corp in October of 1942 and was honorably discharged as a 2nd Lt. in 1945.

Don worked for Bendix Corp in Kansas City, MO for 25 years as a production supervisor, retiring in 1978. He moved back to Cherokee in 1980.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Cherokee and St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Pittsburg, additional memberships and honors were the Cherokee Blue Lodge #119, AF & AM, Royal Arch Masons, Silver Trowel Council Cryptic Mason, O.E.S., Red Cross of Constantine , Knight York Cross of Honor, Order of the Silver Trowel, Order of the Anointed High Priests, Consistory Valley of Ft. Scott, Past member of the Ruitan of Cherokee and the Mirza Shrine.

Additional survivors include two sons: David L. Hadlock and wife Carol of Lee's Summit, MO and Noel Rakestraw and wife Janice of Cherokee; seven grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Donna I. Hadlock,
two sisters: Edith McFarland and Hazel Gillis, a brother Novie Hadlock,
an infant sister and infant brother.

Services will be 2 pm, Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012 at the Bath-Naylor
Funeral Home in Weir with Fr. Bill Wolff officiating. Family will receive
friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm Tuesday evening.

made to the United Methodist Church of Cherokee and/or St. Peter's
