Virginia F. (Malley) Buckley, 91, beloved wife of the late, Cornelius D. Buckley , died Tuesday the 29 of January at Braemoor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a period of failing health. Virginia was a lifelong resident of Avon, communicant of St. Michaels Parish and member of the Ladies Sodality. She graduated from the Gifford School (Avons high school), went on to business school in Boston and worked in the payroll department of the B&M Railroad until she married in 1946. Virginia especially enjoyed her years working in the fiction room of the Brockton Main library. She worked for 25 years, until she retired at 81, in June of 2003. Virgie was much loved and admired by all who knew her. She was well known for her, gentle nature, inspirational strength, deep faith and love for her family. She will be sorely missed. Virginia is survived by her daughters; Kathleen Luizzi and husband Paul, of Easton; Patricia Buccella and her husband, Richard of Avon and her son Robert Buckley of Hanson and his former wife Nancy. This devoted wife and mother was predeceased by her husband Cornelius D. Buckley, her daughter, Ginny Buckley, her son, Dennis Buckley and her granddaughter, Kristen Buccella all of Avon. Virginia will also be lovingly missed by her Grandchildren; Paul Luizzi and his wife Michelle of Goodyear, AZ, Jenn Svirtunas and her husband Jeff of Middleboro, Beth Gallant and her husband Chris of South Easton, Peter Luizzi and his wife Kim of Quincy, Michael Buccella and his wife Maribella of Easton, Kathleen Lyon and her husband Jim of Avon, Daniel Buckley and Emily Buckley of Bridgewater, and Virginias 10 great-granchildren. Funeral from the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28) Randolph, Saturday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Michaels Church, Avon, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
