Luke-My dad would tell me how Great you were. I'll bet your spirit, as well as the spirits of Nellie Fox, Al Lopez, Shoeless Joe Jackson, Charles Comiskey Mantle, Williams, Feller, Maris, Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Doby, Satchel Paige, Catfish Hunter, Stankey, Tanner, and the likes of Killebrew, Greenberg, Fox, Earl Weaver, Sparky Anderson, Stengel, Cobb, Christy Mathewson, Walter Johnson, Jackie Robinson, Billy Martin, Connie Mack, Harry Carey, even Jack Brickhouse and Ronnie Santo all ROAM the parking lot, north of the new Sox Park in Chicago, that magical piece of earth where all those dreams came true and legends were made. I'll bet you guys have your own little field of dreams. Their ghosts are there and can be seen any time day or night if you look close enough, or listen hard enough. Thank God for the Internet, and all those old stained baseball scorecards with all those pencil smudges and priceless autographs, if you were lucky enough to get them. R.I.P -Mr. Applng. Thanks for the B-ball memories guys.-- -- @ ^

I left a tribute on July 14, 2004 but I just wanted to say "Happy Birthday" Luke. I still enjoy recalling you hitting the homerun in the Old Timers game in 1982. I remember you saying after that the fan mail just flooded in after that.
