U.S. Congressman. Moving to Florida, he graduated from the University of Florida in 1935, from that intuitions' law school in 1936, was admitted to the bar and commenced the practice of law in Miami, Florida. Entering politics, he was assistant city judge of Miami Beach, (1939 to 1940). In 1941, he was inducted into the Federal service with Florida National Guard as a first Lieutenant, served as an executive officer for the Military Intelligence Division, War Department General Staff, during World War II and was discharged as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1945. After the war, he was a member of the Florida State House of Representatives, (1947 to 1950). In 1951, he was elected as a Democrat to the Eighty-second and Eighty-third Congresses, serving until 1955. Not a candidate for reelection, he practiced law, plus also was involved in banking and advertising until his death. He also became a founding board member of the Dade Community Foundation.
