Verl Clayton Walker was born in Wood County Ohio and is the son of James Clayton Walker and Alta Culver. He is the brother of Stanley Ray Walker, and half brother of Virgil Warn. His mother Alta left home when my grand dad was young. He would tell funny stories about his step mother and step sister, and the pranks he would pull on them. He grew up in the oil fields of Ohio. He also designed and built many things, and was very smart mechanically. Verl married Alice Carlson in 1933. He is also the grandson of James B. and Safrona Bockey Walker, and Charles Clinton "Biddy" and Ellen "Ella" Adams Culver.
