Major League Baseball Player. He played in thirteen seasons mostly with the New York Yankees. He played leftfield in what is considered by many one of the greatest outfields ever consisting of Joe DiMaggio in centerfield and Tommy Henrich in rightfield. That team would win three World Series titles (1939, 1941 and 1943). He was named to the American League All Star Team five times during his career. When he retired from baseball he bought a horsefarm and raised standardbreds.
