Rosemarie J. Bowman, of McSherrystown, entered into eternal rest August 7 in Hanover.

She was the daughter of the late Francis and Gertrude (Gallagher) Hagerman.

Mrs. Bowman was a 1945 graduate of Delone Catholic High School in McSherrystown. She had been employed at the former Burkee's Market in McSherrystown as a clerk for many years and was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, as well as a den mother for CubScouts. Rosemarie was a life member of Annunciation Catholic Church in McSherrystown.

She was the wife of the late Lester M. "Bud" Bowman, who departed this life January 13, 2003, and is survived by two daughters, Camille McFarland of McSherrystown, and Jane Saltzgiver of Dover; two sons Daniel Bowman of Gettysburg, and Patrick Bowman of McSherrystown; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Francis E. "Rocky" Hagerman of McSherrystown; and a sister, Charlotte V. Hagerman of McSherrystown.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Loretta Birgensmith and Gertrude Snyder; and a brother, Joseph Hagerman.
