Cartoonist. He was the creator of the comic strip "The Berrys", which ran nationally from 1942 to 1974. A 1934 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, he previously worked in advertising in Chicago before turning to writing comic strips. During World War II he served with the United States Navy.
