Professional Boxer. He was bareknuckle Heavyweight Boxing Champion of Britain from 1792 to 1795, the only Jew to hold the title. He was also the first boxer to publish an autobiography, "Memoirs of the Life of Daniel Mendoza" (1816). He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1990.
