Art Henderson Dies Early This Morning

Arthur (Art) Henderson, 75, died at 1 a.m. today at Newton Memorial hospital after a long illness. He had been employed by Continental Oil co., in the Graham field for 23 years before retiring because of ill health.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Morris memorial chapel with Rev. G. E. Caskey officiating. Burial will be in Highland cemetery with American Legion committal services.

Mr. Henderson was born Nov. 5, 1887 at Plad, Mo., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Henderson. he was married to Lillie Rufe in March 1920. He was a veteran of WWI and served overseas, was a member of the American Legion, VFW and BPOE.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Tommy of Jackson, Mich.; a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Martindale of Las Vegas, Nev.; a grandson, Steven Martindale of Las Vegas, 5 brothers, Edgar, Dred and Bob of Buffalo, Mo., Fred of El Dorado and Eddie of Tulsa; a sister, Mrs. Della Stidham of Tunas, Mo.
