She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, National Association of Social Workers, and a member of the Vertilia Club at Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Charles Brown; brother, Sterling Holt Jr., of Atwater, CA; uncle, John Wheadon Sr., of Houston, TX; aunt, Sallye Offett of Los Angeles, CA; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church, 1368 S. 28th St., with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation: Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. at A.D. Porter & Sons, 1300 W. Chestnut St. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Louisville Alumni Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. or the W.P. Offett Sr. Scholarship Fund at Calvary Baptist Church.
