Our beautiful and loving son, Dillon Leif Ulmer, age 17, of Fort Gratiot, died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 9, 2007 in his home.

Dillon was a student a Port Huron Northern High School where he was in his Senior year. He also played Soccer at Northern. Dillon was the lead singer in a band called "For the Worst." He also enjoyed riding his dirt bike, snowboarding, and had just accomplished a back flip on his wakeboard. He was very creative. Everyone knew him by his Blue Dodge Truck. He was a kind person, and had many, many friends who will miss him deeply.

He is survived by his father, Dana Ulmer, a sister, Brooke Ulmer, his brother and best friend, Coleton Ulmer, all of Fort Gratiot; grandparents, Edward (Diane) Ulmer of Saginaw; grandmother, Barbara Cook of Punta Gorda, Florida; great-grandmother, Marian Ulmer of Saginaw; and several aunts, uncles, and many special cousins who loved adored and will miss him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert and Elizabeth Daniels of Buffalo, NY.

His mother passed away in 2017.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday (9/13 / 2007) in St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Joseph Esper officiating. A graveside committal service will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Be merciful to me, Oh Lord, for I am in distress; my eyes grow weak with sorrow, my soul and my body with grief.
(Psalm 31:9)
