Professional Boxer. Glen Flanagan was the other famous half of the fighting Flanagan brothers out of St. Paul, Minnesota. As an amateur he won 44 straight bouts while in the United States Navy. He turned pro in 1946 and fought his last fight in 1960. He had 120 professional fights and was ranked 3rd in the world in 1952. He fought over 36 contenders or champions in three weight classes and fought on national television ten times against the best fighters of the era. He held the feather weight, light weight and welter weight titles in Minnesota. He along with brother Del was inducted in to the World Boxing Hall Of Fame in 2005. Glen's record was 84 wins, 23 losses, 13 draws and he scored 34 knock outs. Back in the 1940's and 1950's there was only one top 10 and 8 weight classes and he fought in three of them against 35 rated top 10 contenders or champions in 3 of them. Flanagan and his brother Del were considered by many to be the greatest fighters Minnesota ever produced.
