GARDNER HAZEL JOHNSON At rest October 24, 2002 in Burlingame. Born October 23, 1913 in Turlock, she became a resident of San Mateo at the conclusion of WWII. She was predeceased by her husband, Lowell Johnson in 1967. She is survived by her husband, John Gardner of San Mateo; her son, Thomas Johnson of San Francisco; her brothers, Charles Read of Turlock and Cecil Read of Stockton, her sister, Lois Novak of Modesto and numerous loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Hazel enjoyed life most giving to and caring for people, especially her little people. She was employed as a preschool teacher, enjoyed donating her time at the Senior Citizen Center and faithfully gave of herself as a reader for the blind. Invitation is extended to attend a Funeral Service 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2002 at The Sneider & Sullivan Funeral Home, 977 S. El Camino Real, San Mateo. Interment Skylawn Memorial Park.
