Pearlie Thrasher is the daughter of Cicero A. Thrasher 1868-1958 and Julia Grimes Thrasher 1875-1917. She was born in Greenway,(Clay County) Arkansas. In 1906 and when she was 3 years old they moved to Campbell, MO. on a small farm. They traveled by covered wagon across the frozen St. Francis River. Grandma had a tough life, her mamma died when she was very young and grandma helped take care of the kids.

Grandma married William Irwine Alton in January 8, 1923. No one seems to know what happened there but he died in 1924.

Grandma married Albert Jackson in 1925? who was born in 1902 in Charleston, MO. and they had two children. Henry Agustis Jackson and Mary Bernice Jackson. Pearlie had several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Grandpa Jackson I am told was a drinking man and went his own way and died March 25, 1962 in St. Louis, MO. He was brought back to Cape Girardeau, MO and burried in New Lorimier Cemetery.

Grandma married Luke Miller in 1940. He passed away in 1941 and she never married again.

Grandma Pearlie lived in Chaffee for over 50 years during which time she ran a small cafe in her earlier years.

Her most proud accomplishment was raising her grandson as her son Jerry W. Hampton Sr. and her great-grandsons. Grandma loved and took care of all her family and grandchildren.

Loved by all and is sadly missed.
