She was the mother of eleven, 8 sons and 3 daughters.

She died from complications caused by Parkinson's Disease. It stole her ability to walk, and took the volume from her voice. She loved to talk more than anything. I imagine her now in heaven talking up a storm with family and friends that have gone ahead. Telling Dad all that he has missed in the 14 years he has been gone.

She always wanted to travel, to go and see what was beyond the horizon. Yet for years she remained at home raising her large family. Mom loved to go to Edisto Beach and look for shells.

Mom died as she lived, surrounded by her family. All eleven children (in-laws, out-laws and grandchildren too) surrounded her bed as she crossed over to join Dad on the other side.

And waiting across the Rainbow Bridge were the animals that were her faithful companions--- Cocoa, Missy, Sandy and Patches.
