Cleo Nan Abell, 104, resident of Millcroft Nursing Home, Newark, Delaware and a former Pendleton, Indiana resident, passed away August 20, 2009 at Christiana Hospital, Christiana, Delaware.
She was born on April 23, 1905 in Winslow, Indiana, a daughter to the late Charles and Viola Davis.
A Deaconess Emeritus of Pendleton Christian Church, Mrs. Abell volunteered her time to her church's many charitable causes.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oscar Abell in 1965; and her brothers and sisters.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Pendleton Christian Church, P.O. box 31, Pendleton, Indiana 46064

Aunt Nan lived in Pendleton IN for many years. In 1985, her home was struck and demolished by a drunken driver. She then moved to Delaware to be close to her son and his family, where she remained for the rest of her life.
