Ryan Michael Linderer was born may 17th, 1985 to Susan and Michael Linderer in Stillwater. He died at the age of 21. Ryan was known for his sincere charm, playful smile and generous heart. Everyone around him new they were loved and appreciated.
When Ryan was 15, God placed Hollie Ann McIntosh in Ryan's life. The two became inseparable and eventually became engaged. A month after Ryan's 21st birthday, Ryan was diagnosed with lymphoma. Ryan stayed brave throughout his battle with cancer.
Despite the terminal prognosis, Ryan and Hollies plans to marry were not set aside. Through the compassion of the Oklahoma county Clerk's office and the nursing staff of the OU Health Sciences Center, a marriage license was secured. Ryan and Hollie's wedding vows were exchanged at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20th. The Reverend Dr. Grayson Lucky officiated the hospital bedside ceremony and assisted Ryan in communicating vows. By 5:30 p.m. that evening Ryan was gone.
Ryan is missed by so many. May you rest in peace. A very precious soul.

Hollie is my niece, she stayed very brave throughout Ryan's treatments.โˆผRyan Michael Linderer was born May 17, 1985 to Susan and Michael Linderer in Stillwater. He died Friday, April 20th at the age of 21. Ryan's early childhood was spent in Texas City and College Station, Texas. Upon returning to Oklahoma the family settled in Oklahoma City. Ryan attended Northridge Elementary and Independence Charter Middle School. He finished his education as a 2003 graduate of Mustang High School. Ryan was known for his sincere charm, playful smile and generous heart. Everyone around him knew they were loved and appreciated. Typical of Ryan was his annual portrayal of the family 'Santa Claus' each Christmas, passing out gifts and bestowing hugs. Rarely did a phone conversation or gathering end without Ryan saying, 'I love you.' He also loved model painting, music, reading, video games, and 'World of Warcraft;' but most especially, he loved Hollie. When Ryan was 15, God placed Hollie Ann McIntosh in Ryan's life. The two became inseparable and eventually became engaged. Just a month after his 21st birthday, Ryan was diagnosed with lymphoma. Over the next nine months, Ryan and his medical team battled the vicious cancer. Throughout the intense pain, dashed hopes and worsening test results, Ryan kept his beautiful smile - even after the news that the war could not be won. Despite the terminal prognosis, Ryan and Hollie's plans to marry weren't set aside. Instead, through the compassion of the Oklahoma County Court Clerk's office and the nursing staff of the OU Health Sciences Center, a marriage license was secured. Ryan and Hollie's wedding vows were exchanged at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20th. The Reverend Dr. Grayson Lucky of Nichols Hills United Methodist Church officiated the hospital bedside ceremony and assisted Ryan in communicating his vows through nods and blinks. By 5:30 p.m. that Friday evening, Ryan was gone. He leaves behind his wife Hollie; mother Susan and sister Alyssa. Also surviving are his paternal grandmother, Thelma Linderer of Oklahoma City, his aunt Theresa Fisher, and her family including husband Dennis and children Kelsey, David and Tanner of Sapulpa, as well as Ryan's father Mike. Additional survivers include Ryan's maternal grandfather Bill Pirtle, Oklahoma City, his uncle David and aunt Deborah Pirtle of Texas City, cousins Brett Pirtle and Becky Pirtle of Houston, aunt Carey and uncle Danny Head, Ponca City, and cousins Erika Martin of Norman, and C.R. Head, Oklahoma City. Survivors in his new family include Sid and Eva McIntosh, sister-in-law Jenni and husband Bobby Arndt and brotherin-law Tim McIntosh. Ryan was preceded in death by his grandfather Howard Linderer, his grandmother Judy Pirtle, and his aunt Diane Pirtle. The family gives heartfelt thanks to Dr. Bashar Alasad and his staff, the medical professionals of OUHSC and most especially to the Presbyterian Tower's 7-west oncology team. Their expert care delivered with loving hands made Ryan's last months more comfortable and inspired him to consider them as extended family. Dr. Lucky will lead a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 24th at Nichols Hills United Methodist Church. Vondel L. Smith & Son will direct. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Ryan be remembered through gifts to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) and its cancer or Alzheimer's research programs, 825 NE 13th, Oklahoma City, OK 73104.
