Kimberly Lynn Bettis Samson, 40, Bismarck, formerly of Richardton, died Jan. 15, 2010, as the result of injuries sustained in a car accident east of Barnesville, Minn. Services will be held at 1 p.m. MST Wednesday, Jan. 20, at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with the Rev. Bob Simons officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Richardton.

Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. MST to service time on Wednesday at Ladbury Funeral Service.

Kimberly Bettis was born Nov. 3, 1969, at Carlinville, Ill., the daughter of Gilbert Bettis and Mary (Cleveland) Bettis. She was raised and educated in the Waverly, Ill., and Lawton, Okla., areas.

Kim loved life in general. She loved spending time with her son and her grandchildren and loved traveling with her family. Kim also enjoyed her job with Coach America Crew Transport of Bismarck.

Kim is survived by her son, Dereck Ehrmantrout, Dickinson; stepson, Shaun Samson, Dickinson; two grandchildren, Makya and Alyiah, Bismarck; their mother, Collette, Bismarck; her father, Gilbert Bettis, Jacksonville, Ill.; five brothers, Durk Bettis, David Jones, Kenneth Jones, Richard Jones and Patrick Jones, all of Springfield, Ill.; and three sisters, Sherry Long, Springfield, and Ashley Sweeten and Jamie Childers, both of Jacksonville.
