According to the Vital Records of Leicester through 1849 (pgs 116 & 175), the marriage intent of Dorothy Kingsbury of Enfield and Joseph Allen were published on Nov. 20 1776.

Dorothy was the second wife of Joseph and mother of several of his children (as noted on page 11 of the book Reminiscences of the Rev. George Allen of Worcester in the biographical sketch by Franklin P. Rice) Among those children were the Rev. George Allen who is buried in Shrewsbury and Charles Allen

She was 40 years old at the time of her death. (source: Sessions records - see below)

She was originally buried in plot #53 of the Mechanic Street Burying Ground along with her husband Joseph, daughters Maria and Elizabeth and sons Charles and James according to Inscriptions from the Old Burial Grounds in Worcester Massachusetts 1727-1859 published by the Worcester Society of Antiquity in 1878.

She was moved from Mechanic Street Burying Ground to Rural Cemetery on July 20, 1878 along with her husband Joseph, daughter Maria and two other children. This information was found in vol. 3 of the records of George Sessions and Sons Undertakers that are available at the American Antiquarian Society in Worcester, MA.
