Entrepeneur and business leader. He founded the "Fujiyama" business enterprises. His greatest industrial contribution is said to have been in the development of the cane sugar industry in Formosa as president of Dai Nihon Sugar Co. and Niitaka Suar Co. He also established the Fujiyama Industrial Library with a collection of over 100,000 books (1927) .
