My G Grandmother
The death of Mrs Maud Mary Schele,
wife of Clem Schele the well known cigar maker
occurred last night at 9:45 o'clock after a three days
illness at the family residence, 1712 East Wayne Street,
Death was due to leakage of the heart, with pneumonia
complications and although Mrs Schele had been ailing
the end came with such a suddenness as to shock many
friends who had conndently hoped for a recovery.
Deceased was born Dec.20 1872 and in her forty-seventh
year of her age, her entire life had been spent in Fort
Wayne, which was her birthplace.Mrs Schele was a member
Of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, and was highly esteemed in patriotic circles,where she was a
member of the Woman's Relief corps of Sion S. Bars post
no 40 G.A.R. which organization will hold flag services
at an hour to be announced later. The survivors are her
Husband, Clem Schele, four children Grace, Ruth, Joseph
and Ralph Schele her mother Mrs Joseph Saunders and one sister Mrs Grace Brown of Chioago The funeral arrangements
have not yet been completed.
