Edith Hulda Beisser

Edith H. Beisser, 78, of 328 Monroe St., Sheboygan Falls, was found dead in her home on Saturday morning, October 22, 1995, where she suffered an apparent heart attack.

Edith was born on July 26, 1917, the daughter of the late George P. and Alvina Schwalbe Hoffmann in Town of Lima. She graduated from Waldo High School in 1934 and attended Sheboygan Business College. She was employed at Bordens in Plymouth and Schlieder Ins. Agency in Sheboygan Falls, retiring in 1988. She married Frederick T. Beisser in Colby, Wis. On July 26, 1941. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1962.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls and served on its building committee. She was an ardent bowler, card play and traveler.

Survivors include one daughter, Judith K. Beisser, Chicago, Ill.; three sons, Frederick G. Beisser, Parker, Colo.; Wayne A. (Ruth) Beisser, Plymouth; Richard W. (Jane) Beisser, Milwaukee; four grandchildren, Alice, San Francisco, Calif.; Frederick J. of California; Sherri (Scott) Wittkopf, Racine; Timothy, Milwaukee; one sister, Ruth Le Mahieu, Cedar Grove; three sisters-in-law, Ruth Hoffmann, Ostburg; Marian Rusch, Eau Claire; and Harriet Beisser, Plymouth; nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and one sister, one daughter- in-law, Susanne Beisser and one son-in-law, Jerry Peppler.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 1995 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls with the Rev. Donald Hasse, pastor, officiating. Burial will be made in Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Huehns Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 1995, from 5 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from noon until the time of services.

A memorial fund will be established in her name for the church's building program.

Edith Hoffmann Beisser died during the night on Friday, October 21, 1995. She belonged to two senior bowling leagues at the time of her death; her obituary appeared in the Falls News and on the following page appeared her bowling scores for the week which included a 450 series. She had met her late husband, Fred T. Beisser, while bowling when she was a young woman and he was a cub reporter collecting bowling scores.
