Nobility. Her paternal grandmother was Louise Elisabeth of France, daughter of King Louis XV and his wife Maria. Her maternal grandmother was Empress Maria Theresia. She was the mother of seven children that all survived her. Two of her sons, Friedrich August II. and Johann were saxon Kings, her daughter Maria Josepha was queen of Spain, two other daughters were grand duchess of Tuscany. Her niece Luise became the second wife of Maximilian.
