Professional Hockey Player. A native of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Heximer played for teams in the OHAJR, NHL, Can-Am, IAHL, AHA, and the OHASR hockey leagues. At 5'07, and 159lbs, he played the position of Left Wing for the Niagara Falls Cataracts 1926 to 1929, New York Rangers from 1929 to 1930, 1934 to 1935, Springfield Indians from 1929 to 1932, 1927 to 1938, Boston Bruins from 1932 to 1933, Boston Cubs from 1933 to 1935, New Haven Eagles from 1934 to 1938, St. Paul Saints from 1938 to 1940, Niagara Falls Brights from 1940 to 1941, and the Niagara Falls Weavers from 1942 to 1942. Heximer retired from hockey in 1942 but then took up coaching minor hockey and baseball. He also worked as a rigger for the Niagara Power Company in Niagara Falls, Ontario, for 37 years before he retired in 1975. He died in July 1988 at the age of 78.
