Laurice married Donna Geisinger on August 12, 1936. They had three sons: Larry Earl, Lyle Truman, and Donald John Page. (Donald tragically died in a motorcycle accident July 29, 1972).
Laurice was a fruit farmer in Shelby and Belair before entering the U.S. Soil Conservation Service in Manistee County as a technician.
During World War II Laurice was in the U.S. Navy, serving on the Aircraft Carrier Wasp in the South Pacific, during the battles of Leyte, Okinawa and Chi-Chi Jima.
