Alpha Omega (McMahon) Lopez Former Resident of Livermore Passed away peacefully on August 8, 2010 surrounded by family and friends, and following a long and courageous struggle with Mantel Cell Lymphoma. A long time Bay Area resident, Alpha was a native of San Leandro, and a 1972 graduate of San Leandro High School. She and Rick raised their family in Livermore before relocating to Sacramento. A diehard Oakland Raiders fan and an avid Sacramento Kings fan, Alpha brought passion and enthusiasm to everything that she did. She will be remembered for her sheer love of family, friends, babies, and animals. A devoted wife and mother, loving grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend, her passing truly leaves a hole in the hearts of those who loved her and will miss her every day. Alpha is survived by her husband of 30 years, Rick Lopez, her children, K.C. McColm (Melanie), Jennifer Jackson (Wyatt) and Anthony "Mikey" Lopez, her beloved grandchildren, Tyler and Madison Jackson, and Erin and Peyton McColm, and numerous nieces, nephews and family members. A celebration of her life is being held Saturday, October 30, from 12-4pm at the Veterans Hall, 522 South L Street in Livermore.
